Here at Bardfield Academy we want all our parents to be involved in their children’s learning and aim to support in any way we can. To achieve this, we regularly run parent workshop sessions to keep parents informed and up to date on a range of subjects. We would be interested to hear of any workshops you would like us to run. We also like to make available a range of support materials to help you, to help your child at home and will make them available for you to use, or download, from this page.
Our Maths Workshop took place this term. Below are links to the workshop content in case you missed it, or want to refresh your memory:
A fun way to help your child to learn their times tables is to sing them. We love to use songs like this to help our pupils to remember them. Give it a go, it’s great fun!

SAT’s – what are they and how you can help.
The children practise SATs tests regularly in school so that when they do them for real, it isn’t quite so daunting for them. The purpose of the SATs papers is for the children to apply their knowledge and demonstrate what they have learnt. Below are examples of test papers for KS1 (year 2) and KS2 (year 6). Feel free to download them and share them with your child.
